Job Description
Position Title: No-Code Solution Architect
Location: Online
Slight preference for GMT+8 to +12 timezones (Australia, New Zealand or South East Asia).
Type: Full-Time
Reports To: General Manager (CET timezone)
About the Company:
We are a small, still forming team, designing and building automated cloud software workflow solutions at a high service level to a small number of clients.
We’re aiming to be an elite team, delivering functional, maintainable automation workflows that create business-changing results for our clients.
Position Overview:
I am seeking someone to consult with clients, understand their needs and design infrastructure for them: what platforms to use, how they should be set up, and how they should be integrated and automated together.
The second part of the role will then be to set up and configure those platforms, and break down the integration and automation requirements into tasks, to pass off to our automation team, and test, check and quality control when they come back, to ensure a great outcome for the client.
The ideal candidate will have:
- an excellent ability to get on-side with clients, elicit what is truly going on in their business and what the real need is,
- a strong understanding of automation possibilities if not the technical skills themselves,
- and proven experience in detail oriented project management or QA
- background in consulting would be beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation:
- Engage with clients to understand their business processes and identify their system, platform, integration & automation needs.
- Conduct detailed discussions to gather comprehensive requirements and expectations.
- Provide expert advice on potential automation solutions and their benefits.
Workflow Design:
- Translate client needs into high-level workflow designs.
- Identify key processes and tasks that can be automated to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop clear and detailed workflow diagrams and documentation.
Task Breakdown:
- Break down the designed workflows into specific, actionable tasks.
- Create detailed task descriptions and assign them to appropriate automation staff members.
- Ensure all tasks are clearly understood and aligned with the overall project goals.
Project Management:
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Monitor the progress of the automation team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay across project prioritisation and expected delivery times to ensure critical tasks and projects are not forgotten.
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure the automated workflows achieve what the client wanted, and are the best we can create.
Client Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates on task completion or input we need from them, and update our internal tasks with any requested changes.
- Gather feedback from clients to ensure satisfaction and make necessary adjustments to the automation processes.
Ongoing Support:
- We have long-term relationships with our clients across many projects, so you will build and maintain relationships with your assigned clients.
- Ensure successful deployment of automated workflows.
- Provide training and support to clients on using the new automated systems.
- Gather post-implementation feedback to measure the effectiveness of the automation and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Background or experience in workflow design, automation design or system building to solve problems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly, casual and helpful communication style with clients
- Ability to handle clients well on Zoom calls, including getting honest and real about what the situation on the ground is in their business.
- Ability to get a functional understanding of a new software within 3 hours
- Strong understanding of cloud software platforms and tools – what exists, what different types of tools are for, and the basic nature of each (CRMs, Task Managers, Databases, etc)
- Reliable high speed internet & a quiet, professional environment for client calls.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., Make, Zapier, UiPath, n8n, etc).
- Proficiency in common cloud software (e.g., ClickUp, Google Sheets, any 1 form software, any 1 CRM, Sortable or any other database.)
Benefits:
- On-Target Earnings starting at $90k
- Lots of learning and growth space
- Relatively friendly boss
- Work from home
- Own projects, designs and see the outcomes of your work for clients over a long-term relationship with them
- Recognition and freedom once you’ve hit your stride and doing a good job
- No bureaucracy (small team)
- Ability to contribute ideas and effort to change and improve how we do business
Downsides:
- Very minimal training – as a newly developing team, you’ll be writing the training, not getting it
- Small business – margins are tight, there is no room for slouching
- Minimal interaction with colleagues – we’re 100% work from home
- Designing systems to the quality level we work to is hard. You need to have a knack for it.
